A moral and Christ-like imperative The congregation of the Red Lodge Community Church believes that minimizing our dependence on energy from fossil fuels to minimize environmental damage and harm to vulnerable people is a moral and Christ-like imperative. Air pollution from non-renewable energy sources is associated with premature births, heart attacks and strokes, neurodevelopmental problems and certain cancers; renewable energy generation, on the other hand, is over 2,000 times less damaging to human health. |

Our rooftop solar project
Turning sunlight into stewardship
With the support of our congregation and community partners, solar panels now generate renewable electricity on the church roof.

Our impact, measured
The numbers tell part of the story. On September 1, our solar panels generated 40.2 kWh of clean, renewable energy—meeting 56% of our energy needs and helping prevent an estimated 64.3 pounds of CO₂ emissions
